The Police Radio Station, Amen FM (أمن FM), started today (or actually partally yesterday), the transmission in Irbid and the area around it on 89.7 FM.

The ads company supposed to announce this on the ad boards in irbid, apparently didnot do its job, and no ads are there, yet. But the mouth-to-mouth news started between the people, and its doing well ever since this morning apparently.

Radio Guide Update: Amen FM starting transmission on 89.5 FM

Yesterday, I mentioned that Amen FM started its test transmission on 89.5 FM.

The Jordanian Police Dept is the owner of the station, and who got the license to start broadcasting with the named station on this frequency earlier in mid 2006, More HERE.

Now I wonder, The Army got its radio station, the police is starting one, ministry of Awqaf got 3 local stations as well ....
what remained for the Jordanian Broadcasting Corportation's main arabic service to do!

Not even Al-Bath Al-Mobasher aint that "efficient not effective" anymore!

Radio Guide Update: Amen FM

Soon, on the frequency of 89.5 FM, a station that goes by the name of "AMEN FM"
أمن FM
will be broadcasting in the grater Amman area, covering Amman, Zarqa, Mafraq, Madaba and someparts of Jerash and Salt.

the station, which is owned by the Jordanian Police department will be oriented towards increasing the interactivity between the police and security forces and the community, and will be considered for sure a unique experience for a public radio.

I'm just wondering what will remain for The governmental Jordanian Broadcasting Radio after having this police owned public radio running later this year, and after the jordanian armed forces-owned Fann FM has been operating and gaining the highest ratings in jordan!

just a question

Update (18-Oct-2007): Amen FM can be heard online now through the website http://amenfm.jo/
