Stop Trusting "Trust"!

Yes, this is what we, the people need to do, stopping trusting this coach bus company called "Trust Transport Co.".

For your information, Yesterday's terrible accident is not the 1st accident happening with buses ran by Trust, but probably the 7th or 8th ever since this company started its operations to and from Aqaba. most of those happening on The Desert highway and Wadi Araba. the latest one was last June on the desert highway.

The buses of the company drive with an average speed of 120 KM/h on the road to aqaba, regardless of the weather situation. and sometimes drive with a speed that reaches 140 KM/h (I.E: The bus's maximum speed throughput).

Thus, I ask each and everyone of you to boycott the company, and express your feelings, throughout comments, blog reactions (just like here, here, and here)

or express your feelings directly to the company's management through titc@nets.com.jo

I also urge the traffic police department to assign a traffic police cabin at the transportation companies terminals as well as the major bus terminals, and take readings of the buses takograph of their trips before having the buses ending their trip to start another, and in case the bus have exceeded 90KM/h, the bus & its driver will be put on-hold ... and no, I am not asking for something impossible, this is applied in Turkey, and its effective.

On the other hand, just look at the picture of the bus, which is a 2007 Mercedes Elba coach. Now I doubt this bus has been put to safety tests.. back when i was at school, i know a big accident that occured in the late 1990s for a bus between Jerash and Irbid and pretty similar conditions, and with the same situation, the bus was a turkish made 1993 Mercedes 303 Otomarsan, and the accident caused the death of 7 lives back then, and after spinning like a ball for 3 times, the bus had its ceiling on, unlike this 2007 Elba bus!

Pictures illustrate better :( unfortunately

1 year of BiSCA out of the box..

1 year of getting BiSCA out the box ....
...
so where are we at ... after 1 year of graduation ...
after 1 year of BiSCA ...
I guess ill talk about the graduation later, that will be exactly as a year will due from my official graduation.

now about BiSCA... it was really amazing how we were a couple of weeks away from submitting the graduation project, an nobody had even a clue about how our system looks like :P this is what we like to call iterative development using the unified process :)

after 1 year, BiSCA is still not implemented in amman, and not even planned to be implemented.
after 1 year, we have been through the media (not any usual media... since the usual media doesnt have time for us! an article about BiSCA in Al-Rai newspaper was set to be published since the end of last month, and until now its waiting in the "queue"!).

after 1 year, BiSCA has version 0.1 of its website, which will notice the launch of a public service of BiSCA later by the end of this summer. as an initiative by the 3 of us, the founders of BiSCA ... by the way, we need a stress test for the server, so please do not hesitate to ping the website as much as you can.

after 1 year, BiSCA has participated in a couple of technology conferences, one in Jordan, and one in malaysia, amazed many, and made alot others wonder.

after 1 year, BiSCA will be representing jordan and the middle east in Transtec in Prague, and no one is ready to support us to go there ... we barely paid the fees of the conference.

after 1 year of BiSCA , some officials got amazed, others claimed such systems are available everywhere! conclusion, no body is doing anything!

after 1 year .... we are still aiming high, and we promise you all, that even if BiSCA will not get implemented, you will find that BiSCA will have a role in public transportation within this year by our individual efforts.

Happy Birthday BiSCA

Sariyah Express starts working on Abdali - Airport Express

Sariyah Express has started earlier this week working on the Abdali-QAIA Airport Express route, providing us with, finally, a decent Public Transportation service to the Airport, after gaining the license for that earlier this year.

Sariyah Express has been also, in case you dont know, the official courier for Royal Jordanian employees for over a couple of years now.

The entry of Sariyah Express really saved the situation on this route, that is, after Al-Dhelal Transport Co, the operator of Airport Express (that red & White buses one) was showing that its being really careless about this route which they were acquiring 1.5 JD for a person in it. the were careless enough to have their brand new buses ruined in a year or so. and starting last fall, it got all its Airport express buses out of service to replace them with Al-Dhelal's URBAN Public transportation buses!!!!!!!!! did i hear URBAN! this of course continued after creating the CMTC in which al-dhelal is taking part in.
