JO Magazine's ignorance of the "Trust Bus Accident"

After the sad accident with Trust's Aqaba-Irbid bus, and the 25 lives lost in it.
and after several bloggers blogged about the accident and Trust Transport Co.... and others who deleted their posts for one reason or another!

I got a phone call from someone at JO Magazine, who was interested in making a feature about this accident, and asked me several question, some were already answered in my blog post, others were further explained, and yet other were exclusively said in that phonecall.

The person didnt call again, and unfortunatelly, when i bought this month's JO Magazine, the topic was totally ignored, not even a single printed line mentioned this accident, its life loses or any abstracts about the story ,,,, not even in the blogs reaction page!

I'm still wondering, what ever happened to the topic, who took the decision behind not publishing anything about it. Did the company or its owners have a hand in that!?

I wanna know!

Can anyone please tell me! ... or dare to tell me!
and i dont think an answer of "It wasn't that much of an important topic" is either logical or accepted!

Stop Trusting "Trust"!

Yes, this is what we, the people need to do, stopping trusting this coach bus company called "Trust Transport Co.".

For your information, Yesterday's terrible accident is not the 1st accident happening with buses ran by Trust, but probably the 7th or 8th ever since this company started its operations to and from Aqaba. most of those happening on The Desert highway and Wadi Araba. the latest one was last June on the desert highway.

The buses of the company drive with an average speed of 120 KM/h on the road to aqaba, regardless of the weather situation. and sometimes drive with a speed that reaches 140 KM/h (I.E: The bus's maximum speed throughput).

Thus, I ask each and everyone of you to boycott the company, and express your feelings, throughout comments, blog reactions (just like here, here, and here)

or express your feelings directly to the company's management through titc@nets.com.jo

I also urge the traffic police department to assign a traffic police cabin at the transportation companies terminals as well as the major bus terminals, and take readings of the buses takograph of their trips before having the buses ending their trip to start another, and in case the bus have exceeded 90KM/h, the bus & its driver will be put on-hold ... and no, I am not asking for something impossible, this is applied in Turkey, and its effective.

On the other hand, just look at the picture of the bus, which is a 2007 Mercedes Elba coach. Now I doubt this bus has been put to safety tests.. back when i was at school, i know a big accident that occured in the late 1990s for a bus between Jerash and Irbid and pretty similar conditions, and with the same situation, the bus was a turkish made 1993 Mercedes 303 Otomarsan, and the accident caused the death of 7 lives back then, and after spinning like a ball for 3 times, the bus had its ceiling on, unlike this 2007 Elba bus!

Radio Jordan Broadcasting's Role, Trust any one?! الاذاعة الاردنية، من يثق بها!

Analyzing the Jordanian Radio Sphere for the past couple of years or so, alot of radio stations got their way into the airwaves, not only radio stations owned by media companies and individuals, but also ones owned by official state depts and institutes.

Examples on those last ones would be: Fann FM, owned by the Jordanian Armed forces. Amen FM, Owned by the Police Dept. Sawt Ma'an, owned by Al-Hussein University. Yarmouk FM, owned by Al-Yarmouk University. and even the Greater Amman Municipality is planning to open a new "municipality radio" which will be most probably a "community radio". and even the Ministry of Awqaf took over "Radio Quran" partially, and opened local stations in Irbid and Aqaba.

So, where did the role of the Radio Jordan Broadcasting go, with the state's official "Radio Jordan", meaning by this the official Amman Radio, not the FM radio stations that make part of Jordanian Broadcasting Corporation , working in a commercial like way.

Weren't the Jordanain armed forces or the police dept having enough trust regarding Radio Jordan Broadcasting.
Did those at King Hussein University in Ma'an really trust Radio Jordan Broadcasting to evolve their community and empower its people, or did they prove its local failure after the Army's Fann FM broadcasting in the area, deciding to open Sawt Ma'an.

is really Radio Jordan Broadcasting reaching out the nation!

And what the greater amman municipality really think about starting up a radio station, and not rely on Radio Jordan Broadcasting in reaching out the residents of amman..... actually, the GAM never even had its news and council meetings aired on Radio Jordan Broadcasting, since they were always broadcasting them on Radio Amman Net, ever since it's broadcast was through the internet only.
