i still can't believe this happened... lots of newspapers say it was just a rumor, and the pics weren't clear... so am not sure of it...
i can't count the times i've been to egypt, but i was never annoyed by any1 during my stay there, they all treated me with respect, and they all were very kind... maybe that's why i still find this very hard to believe... maybe i just don't want to believe it...
Rain drop: Note that I used the term "Sex Harassment" rather than "Sexual Harassment" ... because I do believe that this was something organized, and intended against the female sex rather than an innocent thing....
it wasnt innocent at all after all, weather those guys we are just some village(ians) that revolted against women's temptations (what ever those might have been) & went and did it out side their home towns and villages, or an organized gang.
& note that this is the 1st time such a thing happens in egypt (and definitely this post didnt mean any generalization to the Egyptian people)... my point was how come the police and security forces did not give any attention to those incidents, nor the "very famous" islamic personnel in egypt! & how was this thing let to happen.
& by the way, there are tens of other blogs that posted about real stories that happened during the eid.
i've been reading the blogs, and i've been searching for clear pictures too... lots are saying that this happened, and lots are saying it didn't, and i can't find out who is saying the truth...
my sister studied there for 5 years, and never did she hear about such a thing, nor did i... am not saying that this didn't happen, but i just can't believe it did...
my question is, why? why would anyone want to do such a thing? i am not convinced that we, as arabs, with all our faults and mistakes, have reached this low level... our religion, traditions, and culture prevents us from doing such a thing.
why can't i believe this? i might have believed it if they said a small gang of guys did this, but when they're talking about hundreds, this is when i can't even imagine it... we're not "sick" people, or atleast, we don't have this huge number of sick people...
