Exclusive Photos of the Aqaba teenagers car accident

ammannet.net, Radio Al-Balad's website has published last night exclusive photos for the teenagers car accident that happened during the eid holiday in Aqaba.

Just a to recap, this accident was caused by 5 teenagers, 4 boys and a girl, all under 18, driving during the eid holiday late at night without a license, on the southern beach highway in aqaba with a nissan with over 180 Km/h at crash time as reported by the traffic police dept (also obvious in the 1st photo), after it got off a bridge and ended up in a valley near the sea near the port's industrial area.

The tragic accident caused death to 4 of the teenagers, out of which was the son of the minister of justice, along with children of other socially and economically famous families.

I am publishing the photos just for the sake of reminding people that cars are not toys, and that responsible driving is the responsibility of us all.

unbelievable. i too thought there was a second car when i saw the last photo before realizing it's the same car. i'm guessing the impact was from the right side.

it's very sad. speed kills and it's good that they didn't hit another car.

and even though this is the only accident people are talking about (given the people who were in the car) 23 other people in the kingdom died during those few days of holiday last week.

allah yer7amhom jamee3an

The absolute devastation of this car makes my heart stop. As a mother, to think the little one I carried, nourished and cherished died in such a violent mangle to metal would be too painful to contemplate long.

I just showed my boys, who are itching to drive, who have friends that took their parent's cars out at 13-14 years old, that they are not allowed to drive until they are 30.

Ya Allah.
I knew it was going to be bad but was not prepared for this.
Looking at the pics, I also thought there were two cars. Ripped apart like a piece of gum...so, so horrifying. I cannot imagine what their families are experiencing now. Ya Allah. Allah ya7amarhum.

It is disrespect to the dead to talk about them this way. I don't suppose anyone here was in the car to claim that the drivers friends begged him to slow down. I don't want to know the details on how the accident happen, what we need to know is how to respect the law and drive properly! I see men, women, people in thier 20's 30's older drive realy recklessly in Amman, I started taking videos of people and will post it in my blog soon. Shame on people how they drive inconsiderately

anonymous 2,
please note that the post mentioned exactly what was reported by the police dept, nothing more, nothing less.

anonymous 1's comment is his/her own, and that would be his/her story, and not mine, the blog owner.

So, regardless if they were drunk or not, and the speed was 220 or 180 like the police measured it, what happened by having unlicensed teenagers driving their car in such a speedy way is wrong and sad, and all of us are sad for it.

and hey, instead of shouting uselessly you could have stated your identity and had a decent debate with the commentators that you thought have wrote something wrong!

lsn wat ur saying is useless, jus let them be, creating websites to chit chat abt a trajedy when u feel bored is wrong.Just let them be. Imagine if a parent saw what u ppl r writing,it wod devestate them more than they already r.This is nt a commercial, loves were lost and ppl r mourining. stop talking abt this like it is the latest gossip. STOP THIS!

its so funny to blame this GM for showing us the photos..what you see is what you get..you are talking about then asif they are the heros of Gaza getting killed while fighting with attackers..they killed them selves for God's sake..and yes..we should always talk about these incidents as it might..and stress on MIGHT..make us aware of how careless we are about our children's behaviour as a community..thanks all

too many anonymous people!

what rumors are there! those are facts!

nothing in here has to do with the people involved in the accidents, this is more of a lesson for those who repeat the same behaviors, nothing more, nothing less.

"you shouldnt blame the teenagers for the crash" ... its their parents to blame more. they weren't but kids after all.

First off. The car was a Lexus. If you have that simple detail wrong, you obviously have most of the other stuff wrong too. Also, a car meter goes down to zero the second the car is switched off, or the electricity is cut off. The meter in the picture has obviously been tampered with.
Second. Il a3mar biyad allah. Even if they weren't in the car, the four of them would have passed. It is no one's fault, and no one is to blame.
I think, this is complete disrespect to family members, and to friends. Their loved ones are being debated, in a blog, I don't think anyone would want this upon themselves.
No one is in any position to make assumptions about them. They are but a light that guide some people's way now.
When something like this happens, you give your condolences and move on with your life, let their family and friends grieve without having to deal with gossip, rumors, and random disrespectful remarks. It's not like they need more to deal with.
It is okay to learn from this, but to learn, and to disrespect are two enormously different aspects.
I think all of you should take the time, and think about what you are saying about the dead, before you say it.

May they all rest in peace. (No matter how they died!)

I've been in a couple tragic accidents where I should have been dead. Let me tell you.. accidents are no joking matter. Allah Yerhamhoum kiloum! As the moderator if possible it'd be wise to disable the comments option for this blog. I understand you are just informing.. but seeing how there has been trouble and mixed comments it'd be wise to just disable the comments option alltogether. Yallah Salam! Drive safe out there you guys!!
