"Jordan Business" ignoring my response on last month's story

It was "interesting enough", as much as disappointing, how non of the points i mentioned in my response on Jordan Business's Magazine last month's cover story were neither commented by any of the magazine's staff to whom the response was sent, nor mentioned and not even commented in this month's edition of the magazine.

If you never tried public transportation, and can't move your self out of that car, just SHUT UP! we dont need your "Rich thoughts" if you consider public transportation for the "lower class".

Physically speaking, the bus riders are in a higher lever than car drivers by the way.

Dear Nasim:

This has always been our problem as Jordanians - we love to jump to conclusions and I'm guilty of that myself at times :-)

I'd like to note that myself as well as my editor-in-chief, Marwan Kardoosh, did in fact read your email several weeks back and appreciated the feedback. However, the way in which it was written, as well as its length, suggested, or a least lead us to believe that it was more of a rant than a conventional "letter to the editor", which of course, you are entitled to as a reader of Jordan Business.

That being said, if you would like to publish it as a letter then we would have absolutely no problem and, in fact, encourage you to do so. However, I would ask that you rewrite the post in a letter form, articulating your thoughts in about 800 words maximum, in order to fit in our "letter to the editor" page.

If you agree, and can send it to us by the 20th maximum, then it'll be in time for our December issue. If not, then we respect your decision.

My email is: tarawnah[at]gmail[dot]com

Nas, does that go for that older concern I emailed you about too? :)

Nas,

I didnt ask to have it published, neither all of it, nor half of it, what i required more is to have follow up from the in-charge personnel about the FACTS i recalled in my letter, and see where is the writer's story came in contrast with what i recapitulated. as i didnt get anything from my own opinions, but from facts. that i, as well as many others know, and some of them were even published in the local newspapers several times.

But i waited, thinking that some people would be smarter than me, and do some "correction" at least for the wrong information mentioned in that story, or in more better cases, a continuity for the previous story with more investigation.

Dear Nasim,

Thank your for the response. From what I gather of your comment you are more interested in correcting the information that was stated in the article, no? Information, or facts, that you articulated in your post, no?

If that is the case, then the best way to do it is to submit a letter. If you feel there were mistakes made then articulate your corrections, like you did in that post, but only in the form of a letter and we'll happily publish it as a contrast to what we published.

Thanks,

Naseem Tarawnah

I thought i had written it in a letter format in the email !
(as it was a bit different that the post).
If i happen to do it before the 20th, and have time for it, i will

Dear Nasim,

It much too long Nasim, and we usually don't like to edit letters-to-the-editor extensively, sticking only with the application of our style-guide and no more.

In any case, if you cannot make it before the 20th, then no worries. You can always submit it next month and I'll publish it in the January Year-In-Review issue where it will also fit.

I hope that resolves the situation :-)

All the best,
